I finally went to see my Aunt Dororthy yesterday. She was 90 years old on the 16th of July.I had not seen her for 39 years!
I am so glad I went! She was so happy to see me & when I left she told me she would be reliving our visit over & over again before she went to bed. her children have all passed away and it had been two years since her granddaughter had visited. She was so happy & so was I. It triluy is the little things in life that mean the most!!
Welcome To Pilgrims and Pioneers!
After many years of researching my family geneaology I have been lucky enough to discover actual information about my relatives that lived in the Pilgrim Era and the Pioneer Era- while many people also have realtives from those eras- many do not know their names or where they lived- actually seeing the proof in print makes you much more aware of who they really were.
After discovering these relatives it of course made me curious to learn more about the eras that they lived in and what their lives were like as, the history I learned in grade school had long since been forgotten.
I decided to start this blog for others who are also interested in these eras.
Some of the information here will be actual facts about my realtives and some will be information about the eras in general that I have found on the web.
I hope you will enjoy traveling back in time with me!

Good heavens, I had no idea yr computer was fixed and you were back online! Hooray!
How kind of you to visit your Aunt Dorothy. I love that name, isn't it old-fashioned? My neighbor is 83 and she goes by "Dot" -- one grandmother was named "Maude" and the other was "Eva," two quaint names that I think are coming back in vogue...
Oh the computer is not fixed yet- still using a library comp[uter. They are supposed to know today - if my computer is fixable. May be using a library computer for a long time!!
It is the little things in life, Debra. I am glad that you had nice visit with Dorthy and I bet she will be playing it over and over in her head.
I bet she was happy to see you.
Have a great week.
Blessings,
~Tonya
