1830's Log Cabin in Georgia

I found this article this morning and thought many of you would enjoy it!

Constructed in the 1830s, this hand hewn, yellow pine cabin was occupied until the 1930s. The last family to live in its two rooms filled it to overflowing with 15 people. In 1959, the cabin was relocated to Callaway Gardens from neighboring Troup County. Here it serves as a reminder of the challenges our forefathers faced daily.

  1. Can you imagine trying to stay comfortable in there? It would be endless sweeping and dusting...we are pretty spoiled nowadays!
